date: APRIL 1, 2000 The Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP), National
Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institutes of Health (NIH), intends
to expand the existing Master Agreement (MA) pool for "Efficacy Studies
of Chemopreventive Agents in Animal Models". ALL MA HOLDERS ALREADY IN
THE EXISTING MA POOL NEED NOT RESPOND TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Offerors
selected for award of a MA may be solicited to provide the adequate
capability and technical expertise to furnish all necessary services,
qualified personnel, materials, supplies and facilities to carry out
the order issued. Offerors should be capable of performing animal
cancer model studies to evaluate the efficacy of various designated

initial leads on designated agents and expand the data base range of

(MAOs))will be issued during the period of performance and awarded
based upon competition among members of the MA Pool. The MA mechanism
is a pre qualification process to enable qualified sources to compete
for and perform future contracts which will be awarded based on Request
for Proposals (RFPs). The MA award is non-monetary and is exclusively
for the purpose of compiling a pool of contractors who are
pre-qualified to perform services for efficacy studies. The obligation
