Division of the Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for
research, development and engineering efforts perform to design,
develop, analyze, fabricate, assemble, integrate, test and document
sophisticated space science instruments and experimental payloads.
Specifically, the Laboratory is seeking research, development and
engineering efforts in the following primary task areas: (a) Advanced
Thermal Systems Engineering; (b) Contamination Engineering; (c)
Instrument Optical/RF Engineering; (d)Instrument Systems Engineering;
(e)Mechanisms Engineering; (f) Mechanical Systems Engineering; (g)
Electrical Systems Engineering; and (h) Hardware Fabrication, Testing,
Inspection, Assembly, and Integration. A detailed statement of work,
personnel requirements, and contract data requirements, will be
included in the solicitation file. The anticipated period of
performance for any resulting contract will be a base year with four
option years. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and
amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be
available via the Internet approximately fifteen (15) days after
publication of this announcement at the URL address provided below.
