This synopsis is issued by Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound for the following requirement. FISC-PS intends to solicit proposals for an OMB Circular A-76 Cost comparison. The intent of the study is to determine the most efficient and cost effective method of providing Personal Property Services within the Northwest Region. There are approximately 30 Government positions affected by this study. Services include, but are not limited to Entitlement counseling, inbound/outbound move management, non-temporary storage management, and all other functions associated with the transportation of personal property. The performance period includes a base year and four one-year option periods. A separate phase-in period will be required. The anticipated contract type is Firm Fixed Price. In accordance with OMB Circular A-76, the offer determined to represent the best value to the Government will be compared to the Government's proposal to perform said services. The solicitation for this requirement will be issued on or about 04 November 1999. The solicitation resulting from this announcement will be available to interested parties via the FISC-PS WebSite http://www.puget.fisc.navy.mil. Offerors that download the RFP must monitor the Web Site for potential changes to the acquisition. RFP amendments and questions and answers concerning the solicitation will be posted exclusively on the Web Site. All posted information will clearly display its date of posting.
