EUTHANASIA, DISPOSAL AND TRANSPORTATION OF ANIMALS (SWINE) AND CARCASSES NOTICE OF INTENT TO EXTEND CONTRACTS FOR THE ACCELERATED PSEUDORABIES EMERGENCY PROGRAM (APEP) The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Services (APHIS) Veterinary Services (VS) intends to negotiate and extend the contracts for the emergency for a period of 1-year. This is a commercial items acquisition for the transportation, slaughtering and rendering of swine in the States of Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa. Three separate services are required. The SIC for transportation is 4879. The SIC for slaughter and rendering is 0213. This is not a request for proposal and there is no solicitation available. Interested businesses may identify or express there interest and capability to perform the services in writing by close of business October 22, 1999; include the business name, address, telephone number, contact person and a brief statement regarding capability to perform the service(s).
