Sealed bids from all business concerns will be accepted for the Virgin Islands Project NH-107(2), on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands. Project VI NH-107(2) consists of the paving and rehabilitation of Route 107, from Route 10 to Lameshur Road, on St. John Island, US Virgin Islands. The work will include the removal of some existing pipes, headwalls, and concrete pavement; excavation and backfill for slope stabilization; placement of riprap shore protection, asphalt pavement, concrete pavement; construction of three box culverts; and miscellaneous drainage and safety improvements. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Removal of concrete pavement: 2,800 m2; Roadway excavation: 950 m3; Structure excavation: 1,000 m3; Structural backfill: 920 m3; Shoring and bracing: 160 m2; Riprap, class 4: 70 t; Riprap, class 6: 700 t; Gabions: 300 m2; Aggregate base, 150 mm depth: 2,800 m2; Asphalt pavement: 550 t; Reinforced concrete pavement, 150 mm depth: 230 m2; Concrete guardwall: 40 m; Precast concrete box culvert: 30 m; Guardrail system G4: 330 m. The project is expected to fall within the price range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
