NASA/Stennis Space Center intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the design and construction of two tennis courts immediately North of the existing SSC Wellness Center (Bldg. 2119). The tennis court layout consists of two regulation doubles courts on a single slab measuring 108' by 120' running North and South inside an existing track area. The construction of the courts will include site clearing, grading and seeding work in preparation for the court construction. This will include excavation of any trees, stumps, and vegetation, removal (6-8") of top soil and installation of proper base fill material and fine grading, compacting and sterilization of that material. An area of 17,920 sq. ft. will require rough clearing of shrubs and stump removal. The contractor will be responsible for digging and grading a swale on the sides of the tennis courts between the court and the track. Additional work for the design and construction of the courts shall be in accordance with the Statement of Work and Sketch Drawings, provided separately to those firms requesting a copy of the solicitation package. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 to $100,000. SIC CODE:1542, Small Business Size Standard: $17M. The solicitation will be released as soon as practicable whether prior or subsequent to November 8, 1999 with quotations due on or about November 18, 1999.
