Computer Sciences Corporation plans to issue a EMERGENCY Request for Quotation (RFQ) on a Sole Make and Model basis for Checkpoint Software upgrade/installation/training as all or none, per the attached RFQ. Installation will take place at MSFC, AL. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). Computer Sciences Corporation intends to purchase the items from Checkpoint Software or one of their authorized dealers in accordance with FAR Part 13. Interested firms have FIVE (5) days from the publication of this synopsis/solicitation to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities and offers. Such qualifications/capabilities and offers will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the FIVE days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis/solicitation and will not be considered. A determination by the Computer Sciences Corporation to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open cost competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Computer Sciences Corporation.
