L-Band Satellite Service, beginning January 1, 2000, for an initial period of 1 year, with 2 each 1-year options. The following requirements apply: One full-period voice circuit through a satellite providing L-band service, covering Houston, Texas, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, and the Gulf of Mexico; must operate through Westinghouse Series 1000 L-band satellite telephone with both voice and packet-switched data communications; must be able to support two mobile satellite terminals sharing the full period voice circuit but only one mobile satellite terminal will be 'in a call' at any one time; must be able to support a T1 interface to the satellite operator's voice switch (the Public Switched Telephone Network will not be used for this full-period circuit); must be able to support E&M signaling from the satellite operator's voice switch. Services must be billed in arrears. Only written requests for the solicitation package will be honored. This is not a small business set-aside.
