F -- REFORESTATION STEWARDSHIP SOL R6-15-00-8 DUE 121599 POC Charlette MacDonald (541) 957-3233 The purpose of this contract is to reforest recently harvested commercial forest lands on the Tiller Ranger District with well-spaced conifers to specific stocking objectives within three years. The Contractor shall be responsible for performing all reforestation and supportive treatments necessary to achieve this requirement. Payment is dependent on the success of the reforestation and supportive treatment efforts performed by the Contractor with incentives for the selection of specific land treatment methods. Seedling mortality due to adverse weather and environmental factors is the responsibility of the Contractor and should be considered in preparing the proposal. Supportive treatments may include site preparation, stocking maintenance, protection, and conifer release as necessary to insure the survival and growth of the tree seedlings for three growing seasons. This project includes separately priced option items for 2 additional years of animal damage control treatments. This is a Request for Quotes; quoters are required to prepare detailed technical proposals and provide information regarding past performance history in addition to price proposals; technical proposal elements include technical approach to prescriptive treatment elements, unit by unit detailed prescriptions, Forestry Advisor and other Key Personnel qualifications, organization and management.
