The Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), complex located at 3600 Guard Road, Lompoc, California 83436 is soliciting for a Pharmacy Technician. A licensed pharmacy technician will include reviews of medical records, interpreting prescription orders, producing prescription levels and preparing prescription for pharmacist/physician review. Assists in preparing requests for drug purchases in the absence of the pharmacist. Receives medications supplies with the pharmacy, logs in expiration dates, affixes identification labels and enter items into inventory. Reviews expiration date logbook monthly, process ing expired medication for credit or disposal. Performs routing computer sytems maintenance including data backups, data compression, and program revisions. Reviews medication administration record weekly to identify upcoming prescription order expirations and notifies medical records for physician scheduling. Prepare prelabled, prepackaged medication vials for after hours use. Individual providing the services under this contract must have a national certification as a pharmacy technician and at least one year experience as a pharmacy technician;. Services to be provided Monday through Friday between the housr of 7:30am to 4:00pm every week. (excluding federal holidays). Services will be required for a one year base period, with four-one(1) year option periods for a total of sixty months form the date of award. The estimated quantities for each 12 month period of the contract are as follows: estimate of 1,560 annually. One session shall consist of (1)hour (sixty minutes).
