This contract will be for a period of one (1) year with an option to award four (4) additional years, or until a total cumulative amount of $450,000 is reached, whichever occurs first. No individual project award will exceed $75,000. One (1) A/E firm will be selected to provide these services. The work consist of field investigations, energy audits, site visits, preliminary designs, working drawings, specifications, engineering designs, construction cost estimates, construction period services, etc., on an as needed basis under a firm fixed-price contract awarded for the project. All work to be done in accordance with VA Master Specifications, VA Planning Criteria, and all applicable VA/National and Regulations. The engineering consultant must provide written certification from a Certified Industrial Hygienist as to mitigation of asbestos contamination (if any) for each project awarded throughout the term of this contract. Evaluation and selection will be based on qualifications stated under Numbered Note 24. Area of consideration is restricted to firms located within a 150-mile radius of the Marion VA Medical Center.
