DESCRIPTION: This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 90-45. The U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) Central Contracting Office intends to pursue multiple Award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity task order contracts for (1) providing of medical dictation and transcription information systems technology to include all necessary hardware and operating systems software, supplies, parts, materials, support equipment, labor and supervision for installation, configuration, integration, travel, and training; (2) providing medical transcription services to include furnishing all labor, reports, transcription of dictation, transportation, equipment and supplies for subject requirement in support of the U.S Army Medical Department (AMEDD) across the six regional medical commands for the U.S. Army in military medicine. The scope of the effort includes all Army peacetime medical facilities, some 37 sites on a worldwide basis which produce approximately 50 million lines of dictation and transcription annually. The systems required are intended to be mainstream medical commercial dictation and transcription services on a fee-per-service based upon cost per transcription line. This is an Unrestricted procurement. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for medical dictation and transcription information systems is 7373 and Small Business size standard is $18M. Solicitation DADA10-99-R-0052 will be issued on or about 29 Oct 99 with a closing date of approximately 30 days after publish date of this announcement.
