COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 27,1999 PSA#2463U.S. Army Materiel Command, Natick Contracting Division, Attn:
AMSSB-ACN, Natick, MA 01760-5011 16 -- TYPE V AND DUAL ROW PLATFORMS DUE 111099 POC Judith L. Uthoff,
Contracting Officer at email juthoff@natick-amed02.army.mil E-MAIL:
juthoff@natick-amed02.army.mil, juthoff@natick-amed02.army.mil. The U.
S. Army Soldier & Biological Chemical Command, Integrated Materiel
Management Center is conducting market research to identify potential
sources with the capability and facilities to manufacture and deliver
Type V Platforms and Dual Row Platforms and spare parts as delineated
below. Both types of platforms are used to carry heavy loads extracted
out of military aircraft for air-dropping onto a wide range of
terrains. The Army anticipates a five-year requirements-type or
Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract. If the Army
chooses the ID/IQ type contract, multiple awards may be made which will
split the following minimums/maximums among contractors based on (1)
price competition; (2) delivery schedule; (3) past performance on
previous delivery orders; (4) quality of deliverables provided on
previous delivery orders; and (5 urgency of requirement. The Army's
best estimated minimums and maximums of over the five year period are
reflected in the second set of min/max numbers in parentheses below.
Individual delivery orders for FY00 will encompass the following best
estimated quantities of minimums and maximums of components. NSN
