The work involves: (1) Mobilization and preparatory work, (2) excavation and repair of damaged areas of spillway concrete, (3) rehabilitation of four 51-foot wide by 31.5-foot high radial gates, (5) furnishing and installing two automatic, heated greasing systems for lubrication of each of the eight radial gate trunnion bearings, (6) and fabricating and installing a radial gate access (ladder/platform) system. The estimated price range of the work is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The work is situated at Canyon Ferry Dam which is approximatley 17 miles northeast of Helena, Montana in Lewis and Clark County. Solicitation packages are anticipated to be available 12/03/99. Requests for solicitations should be received on or before 12/29/99. The bid opening is tentatively scheduled for 01/11/2000, at the office of the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, U.S. Federal Building, 316 N 26th Street, Billings, Montana 59101. The contract is to be completed within 200 days. There is no charge for the first copy of the solicitation, additional sets will be provided upon receipt of a nonrefundable check or money order of $9.00 each. After issuance the solicitation may be viewed, without charge, at the Bureau of Reclamation, Great Plains Regional Office, Room 2031, Federal Building, 316 N 26th Street, Billings, Montana. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the Bureau of Reclamation.
