Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate a modification to
Contract N00019-97-C-0094 with Ultra Electronics of Cheltenham, England
to procure approximately 220 additional High Pressure Pure Air
Generators (HiPPAGs) for use on the LAU-7 and the LAU-127 Launchers for
the AV-8B and F/A-18 Aircraft. The HiPPAG is designed to be used on the
missile launchers to provide a continuous supply of cooling air to the
missile seeker heads. Ultra electronics owns the proprietary data
rights to the HiPPAG and is the sole designer, developer, and
manufacturer of the HiPPAG. Ultra Electronics is the only known firm
that is capable of providing HiPPAGs to the US Navy. See Note 22.
