DESC: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to procure technical directive kit installation support through the Boeing Tactical Aircraft Modification Facility, Bldg T1849, PO Box 178, Naval Air Station Cecil Field, FL 32215. The support will be procured via an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity type contract. McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, is the designer, developer, and sole manufacturer of the F/A-18 aircraft, and is the only known firm possessing adequate existing knowledge to provide kit installation support. The Boeing Tactical Aircraft Modification Facility is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, and as such has access to the proprietary knowledge necessary to modify and install technical directive kits on F/A-18A/B/C/D.
