DESCRIPTION The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) intends to negotiate with Evans & Sutherland Computer Corporation on a sole source basis for maintenance of the hardware and software developed by Evans & Sutherland. TACOM is issuing a combined Synopsis/ Solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals will be accepted, however a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/ Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is AMSTAT-RVP5-1600. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-14, dated 24 Sep 1999. The associated standard industrial classification code is 7372, with a size standard of $18.0 million. The Evans & Sutherland hardware is as follows: ESIG-3000 Computer Image Generator First Channeland two Additional Channels, and the software is EaSIEST Modeling Software The type of service is for a one year maintenance order with Evans & Sutherland offering a standard repair service agreement for the Computer Image Generator; and telephone support, updates to the program, and field service engineering for the EaSIEST Software. Services are for TACOM, AMSTA-TR-VP/157, Warren, MI, and the performance period will begin 1 Oct 1999. F.O.B. Destination will apply.
