COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF OCTOBER 28,1999 PSA#2464SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SBA) PROPOSES TO REVISE SIZE STANDARDS
FOR HELP SUPPLY SERVICES (SIC 7363) The Small Business Administration
(SBA) proposes a size standard of $10 million in average annual
receipts for Help Supply Services -- Standard Industrial Classification
(SIC) 7363. The proposed rule was published in the Federal Register on
Friday, October 15, 1999 (64 FR 55873-55878). The current size
standard for this industry is $5 million. SBA proposes this revision to
better define the size of business in this industry that SBA believes
should be eligible for Federal small business assistance programs. SBA
also proposes clarifying language in the small business size
regulations about affiliation when a Professional Employer Organization
(PEO) is co-employer of a firm's employees. The proposed rule is
available for download on SBA's Website at
http://www.sba.gov/library/lawroom.html#121proposed. SBA must receive
comments to this proposed rule by December 14, 1999. WEB: Proposed Rule
