The project involves the construction of a new, two story, 28,000 GSF,
dormitory at the Inland Empire Job Corps Center. The work also
includes improvements t the storm water drainage system for the entire
center campus, a new fire truck access lane and miscellaneous site
improvements in the form of general landscaping, roads, parking,
connection to all utility lines and site/security lighting for the new
dormitory building. The center provides academic, vocational,
medical/dental, recreational, storage/support and housing facilities
for young men and women. Estimated time for construction is
approximately 50 weeks to substantial completion. Estimated
construction cost range is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. Plans and
Specifications will be available on or about November 15, 1999, ONLY
from the office of Dougherty & Dougherty Architects, 3194-D Airport

Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for
plans and specifications shall be directed to the A/E firm listed
above to ensure proper handling of requests. All requests must be in
writing and a $50 bid deposit is required which is refundable when
plans and specifications are returned in good condition. The bid
deposit must be in the form of a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or
money order and made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and
submitted to Dougherty & Dougherty Architects at the time of request.
All requests will be answered on a first-come, first serve basis until
supplies are exhausted. For requests made after the supply is
exhausted, a a non-refundable fee not to exceed the actual cost of
reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by the Contracting
Officer) plus a shipping charge based on individual request (if
applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB documents. A
Pre-Bid walk-thru is scheduled for November 23, 1999, at 10:00 a.m.
local time. The Bid Opening Date is December 16, 1999, at 2:00 p.m.
local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Acquisition. The
Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is
