Houghton, Contract Specialist, 309-681-6616 The USDA-ARS-MWA, Peoria, IL has the need for possible manufacturers/sources of a standard carbon steel boiler (electric). We need to make clean steam at 150 psig, at a flow rate of 500#/hour. The boiler needs to be: Electric, 200 psig rated, to make "dirty" steam using domestic water as a make-up source, and a stainless steel heat exchanger, using de-ionized water as a make-up source, to create the required clean steam. The dirty steam is piped to the HX, where it heats the DI water to create the clean steam, which is then piped to the user. We would like the entire system to be provided as a unit, so the only field connections required by the installer are: DI water to the HX, dom water to the boiler, blowdown, and electrical power.
