Provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision
required for the return of a Halon 1301 fire suppression system to full
and complete operation. The scope of work requires the replacement of
approximately 775 pounds of Halon 1301 for the fire suppression system
at U.S. Coast Guard Loran Station located near Baudette, MN. Included
are the replacement of approximately 25 pounds of Nitrogen and the
initiators for each unit and the certification of the complete fire
suppression system. The following bottles will require refilling: 11
each 15 pound bottles, 2 each 40 pound bottles and 2 each 265 pound
bottles of Halon 1301 fire suppression gas and the refilling of 1 -25
pound bottle of Nitrogen gas required to return the system to its
required capacity. Each bottle contains a blasting medium for discharge
of the gases operated by the fire detection system. The blasting
mediums shall be replaced with an approximate initiator approved by the
systems manufacturer. Due to the age of the halon and nitrogen bottles,
hydrostatic testing and inspection will be required. Each bottle shall
be returned to its original location and reconnected to the existing
system. Final testing, inspection and certification will be required.
