The synopsis noted that NASA planned to issue a letter solicitation for Phase II. However, for purposes of clarity due to revisions and updates to the provisions, clauses, and Statement of Work from the Phase I RFO, NASA intends to issue a separate, formal solicitation for Phase II. Therefore, the first two sentences of the synopsis are revised to read as follows: NASA/GSFC plans to issue a new, formal solicitation requesting proposals for the fabrication and test phase (Phase II) for the Advanced Mirror System Demonstrator (AMSD). This acquisition is being conducted as a phased procurement using a down-select technique between phases. 2. The anticipated release date of the RFO is revised to on or about October 29, 1999.
