sought synopsis and market survey. The Government intends to award a
contract to support the Avionics Subsystem Trainer (AST) for the
MC-130H Combat Talon II. This market survey is issued to identify
potential contractors with the skills and knowledge required to
accomplish the following effort as well as to identify businesses
currently offering the same or similar services in the commercial
market place at established catalog or market prices. The Government is
interested in determining the market interest, capability, and training
solutions associated with this acquisition. The proposed award date for
this effort is approximately 30 Dec 99, with a start date of 1 Feb 00.
The proposed acquisition is for the contractor to: Provide on-call
contractor logistics support (CLS) for the AST. CLS involves total
logistics support (all levels of maintenance, supply support and
material management) for the AST with the exception of lamp and fuse
replacement and trouble-shooting accomplished by Government/Air Force
personnel as directed by the CLS contractor over the telephone. The CLS
contractor shall provide all maintenance and repair of the AST, all
personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items and
services necessary to maintain the AST trainer system in an operable,
Mission Capable (MC) status. The contractor's logistics program will
support the trainer system in such a way that the trainers shall be
returned to serviceable condition within a maximum of 72 hours after
receiving official notice for a service call. Information contained in
