FLEXIBLE ACQUISITION AND SUSTAINMENT TOOL (FAST) PROGRAM INDUSTRY DAY The Government has scheduled an Industry Day for 15 Nov 99 for the Flexible Acquisition and Sustainment Tool (FAST) program. The FAST contract is intended to meet Product Directors' needs for speed and flexibility by providing a multi-dimensional task ordering capability,and sufficient ceiling and scope for command (AFMC) -- wide usage. FAST will establish the means for the procurement of services (to include Advisory and Assistance, modifications, spares, repairs and systems acquisition. The program will include, but will not be limited to, direct support for design, integration, testing, modifications, maintenance, configuration management, quality assurance, system safety, hazardous materiel management, technical and engineering data management, support and analysis, packaging, handling, storage, marking and transportation of parts, subassemblies and assemblies. Also included will be requirements of the Space and C3I community. The SIC code will be 8731, 1500 employees. The program is currently estimated at $5 billion for a period of sever (7) years.
