INDUSTRY FORUM FOR POTENTIAL PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT AT VAMC ALBUQUERQUE, NM The Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting an industry forum on November 9, 1999 to explore the potential for private development at the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The forum will be organized in two parts: the morning session will focus on long-term/assisted living care; the afternoon session will explore possible further commercial development of the property for other compatible applications such as office, retail, and hospitality uses. The objective of the forum is to familiarize the private sector with the Department's interest in developing the property for long-term care and other commercial uses that would provide services to veterans and the local community, to identify and discuss potential issues, and to present ideas for how the property can be best developed to achieve VA mission while addressing market objectives.
