The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a requirement for technology based training for the following computer courses: Introduction to UNIX, Introduction to C Programming, Object Oriented Design and Analysis, Introduction to C++, Advanced UNIX, Advanced C Programming, and Advanced C++. The requirement will involve the acquisition of course materials in three formats: VHS videotape, CD-ROM and web access. Support, in terms of on-line contact, training course updates, and periodic on-site visits will be required for a five year period. This approach is intended to replace the acquisition of on-site training classes on a course by course basis and produce significant financial savings. There are minimum licensing requirements which will allow the Government to make unlimited use of courses and course materials to a defined population of approximately 3,000 scientists and engineers. This requirement will be solicited as a commercial item under procedures authorized by FAR 13.5. Source selection will be made on best value basis. This requirement will be a 100% set-aside for small business. The applicable SIC code is U011 which has a size standard of $5.0 million.
