The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service has announced plans to purchase all purpose egg mix in 6-ounce pouches for use in domestic food nutrition assistance programs. Offers are invited from the trade for all purpose egg mix packaged in plastic laminated foil pouches, 6 ounces (170 g) to each pouch and 18 pounds (8.16 kg) net in each fiberboard shipping container. A purchase unit will consist of 2,000 shipping containers (fourty eight 6-ounce (170 g) pouches each) totaling 36,000 pounds. Deliveries will be made from January 1 to March 31, 2000. In addition, small businesses (500 employees or less) are encouraged to participate.
