CBD-submit@gpo.gov. Contract is for Geographic Information System (GIS)
specialist to continue the assimilation and creation of a corporate
database (spatial and attribute data). The project began in FY 1998,
continued in FY 1999. The corporate system will be used as part of an
ongoing assessment of ungulate grazing effects on terrestrial and
aquatic vertebrate species and plants. The assessment is a complex
process designed to help improve management decisions on all grazing
allotments on National Forests of the Southwest Region of the Forest
Service. The products or deliverables will be files and tapes of GIS
data layers for Arizona and New Mexico. The SIC Code and size standards
are 7379 and $18.0 respectively. The Forest Service intends to
negotiate on a sole source basis with Colorado State University (SO) in
order to maintain the integrity of the project and/or work already
completed by CSU under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253c(1). Only one
responsible source and no other supplier or service will satisfy agency
requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302.1. See numbered Note 22.
Award will be made on or about December 20, 1999 or sooner. Posted
