This non-competitive action will be processed in accordance with FAR 6.301-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Tameran, 30340 Solon Industrial Parkway, Solon, OH 44139-4326 is the only known source that can provide the required twelve (12) months of maintenance support for two (2) Tameran auto printer (SIN 9700673 and 97006731) utilized by the Patent and Trademark Office. As the manufacturer of the equipment, Tameran is the only source who can provide the necessary maintenance and assure uninterrupted operation of these machines, which are critical to the daily production of the Patent and Trademark Office. A purchse order will be issued to procure the required maintenance from Tameran which will provide twelve months as well as optionalyears for maintenance support of the product in the second and third year. A sole source proposal is being requested pursuant to this announcement and shall reference number 43PTO002043. The solicitation incorporates all of the applicable clauses in effect through FAC 97-14, as if stated in full text, as well as the terms and conditions of FAR 52.212-1. A firm fixed price purchase order will be awarded. The maintenance support of the procured product herein will be effective for a twelve month period upon acceptance of the delivered product with priced options for the second and third years. The contractor shall not interpret the next option as being exercised without written notification and a modification to the purchase order from the Contracting Officer.
