This notice is a modification to an announcement issued on February 23, 1999, wherein the DOE Idaho Operations Office stated its intent to proceed on a basis of other than full and open competition. The February 23rd announcement stated DOE's intent to extend the current contract No. DE-AC07-94ID13268 with the Environmental Science and Research Foundation of Idaho Falls, Idaho, for a period of seven months to allow time to conduct a full and open competitive acquisition. This notice is to amend the prior issued to indicate that the contract will need to be extended for an additional two to four months to complete the acquisition (to either December 31, 1999, or February 28, 2000). The closing date for the subject RFP stated above was September 27, 1999. DOE ID is no longer accepting proposals under this solicitation.
