DOBECK, (703)695-2562 The Defense Supply Service-Washington (DSS-W), on behalf of the Office of Secretary of Defense C3I, intends to issue a solicitation for specialized technical and analytical support of federal radionavigation systems. Specific tasks include analysis of techical and policy issues related to the acquisition, implementation and operation of DoD positioning and navigation systems, with special emphasis on the NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS). Services may be needed both on a quick reaction and on a continuing basis. The contractor must have Top Secret Special Access Facility Clearance and have an acredited Special Compartmented Information Facility. The acquisition will be 100% Small Business Set Aside. The resulting contract will be a single award, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) with a base period of one year and four one-year option periods. The contract will contain a hardware exclusion clause. The solicitation will be issued and posted on the Worlwide Web (WWW) on or about 1 December 1999.
