This requirement consists of providing all labor, materials, facilities
(including dry-dock) and equipment necessary to perform dry-docking,
repairs and inspections of the Golden Bear. The Maritime Administration
maintains the Golden Bear, a 10,930 ton, 499 foot midshipman-training
ship, homeported at the California Maritime Academy in Vallejo, CA.
Abstract: Drydock the Golden Bear for hull preservation, and regulatory
body inspections. Period of performance is twenty-eight days. Tasks
include but are not limited to deck protection, fire protection and
housekeeping, tank inspections and repairs, crane and poop deck
installation, installation of lifeboats, topside hull painting, bottom
hull painting, incline experiment and deadweight survey and other
tasks. The Maritime Administration requires that to be eligible for
award of the proposed acquisition, offers must be holders of MARAD
Master Lump Sum Repair Agreement. This requirement shall be solicited
and awarded under the terms and conditions of the Maritime
Administration Master Lump Sum Repair Agreement (MLSRA. Offers shall
hold an MLSRA or shall apply for and agree to the terms and conditions
of the MLSRA prior to award. Holders may accept the MLSRA with their
bids, non-holders may accept the MLSRA with their bid and provide the
annual representations and certifications required by the MLSRA, The
SIC code for this requirement is 3731, Ship Building and Repair.
Because of the limited number of drawing packages, the Contracting
Officer may limit distribution of complete solicitation and drawing
packages to ship repair firms with facilities capable of dry-docking
