This project solicits a Best Value Source Selection construction contract for construction of a new elementary school at the Tarawa Terrace II area of MCB Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, engineering, materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies and transportation to perform all work described in the specifications. The building will be a one story masonry with concrete floor slabs and standing seam metal roof. Facility will include academic and applied instruction with classrooms for preschool through grade 5, special education, media center, dining and kitchen area, multi-purpose room, music and administration area. Building will include HVAC, telephone/communications systems and fire alarm systems. Exterior work includes clearing, seeding, landscaping, parking, playgrounds, roads, sidewalks, utilities, and a stormwater management pond. Options will be included for enhanced interior floor finish and casework items. Upon completion of the new school, the solicitation also includes demolition of the existing TT2 Elementary School located within a mile of the new school site.
