The U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) is seeking potential sources who possess the capability and experience related to computer room design and space planning. THIS IS NOT AN INDICATION THE USITC INTENDS TO CONTRACT FOR THIS SERVICE. A formal solicitation does not exist at this time. This survey is for information only and does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The U.S. International Trade Commission has a requirement to renovate and convert or modify its 4000 sq.ft. mainframe computer room to space for its mini/micro-computer server farm, laboratory area, help desk area, and office space(s). The computer room design services may include, but are not limited to, the following: (1) Needs analysis or assessment, (2) space planning, (3) design physical layout, (4) electrical specifications, (5) mechanical requirements, (6) HVAC (Air-Conditioning), (7) uninterruptible power supply, (8) network systems, (9) cabling systems, (10) raised flooring, (11) emergency lighting, (12) UPS systems, (13) fire extinguishing system, and (14) recommendations for lighting and furniture requirements. Interested sources must indicate their ability to satisfy the requirement within 15 days of this notice. Sources should submit the following: (1) a brief statement of capabilities specifically summarizing their qualifications and experience relevant to the services specified above, (2) references from past or present customers for similar work, and (3) size of business.
