Agency, National Vehicle and Fuel Emissions Laboratory (NVFEL), 2565
Plymouth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan is in need of a contractor to fully
disassemble, remove and store VT SHED #3 (Variable Temperature Sealed
Housing for Evaporative Determination). The contractor shall consult
with the Project Officer to develop a list of components to be saved
and components to be disponsed of by the contractor. The Project
Officer shall have final approval of which components are to be saved.
Prior to disassembly, all re-usable components are to be labeled, and
digital pictures are to be taken of the current configuration. The
re-usable components shall be disassembled from the interior and
exterior of the SHED and shall be documented and stored so that they
can be re-installed at a later date on a new housing. Components that
have been designated by the Project Officer as non-reusable shall be
disposed of by the contractor. After completing this task, the site
shall be throughly cleaned. Floor repairs, if necessary, are not the
responsibility of the contractor. The contractor shall store the saved
components for six (6) months in dry, secure space that will protect
the components for use at a future date. The control console and
instrument rack shall be shrink-wrapped for added protection. After six
months the property shall be disposed of after obtaining the
concurrence by the EPA Project officer. This is a small business
set-aside. This procurement will be processed using full and open
competition under FAR Part 13 (simplied acquisition procedures). The
SIC is 3826. It is anticipated that request for quotations shall be
issued on 11/16/00, with quotes due 11/26/00. All interested parties
