Norwood, Contracting Officer, (910) 432-8598 This is a notice of intent to negotiate a contract on a Sole Source basis with Cape Fear Lift Trucks, 1200 S. Eastern Boulevard, Fayetteville, NC 28306, for the lease of one (1) 5000 lb. forklift equipped with LP Gas, 48"forks, triple stage mast, side shift; and two (2) Komatsu 5,000 lb. forklift equipped with LP Gas, 42" forks, triple stage mast, side shift, back-up alarms, and strobe lights. Normal maintenance and breakdown included. The lease period is for ten (10) months, from 1 December 1999 through 30 September 2000. Offerors who can furnish the same or comparable items listed above may submit, in writing, a proposal substantiated by technical data, brochures, pictures, etc., to include pricing (FOB Destination). All responses must be receive within 15 calendar days of the date of this CBD notice. No telephone request will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the required information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that the action may be awarded on a competitive basis. No additional synopsis will be published. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
