The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf the Multifunctional Information Distribution System (MIDS) International Program Office (IPO), plans to award a sole source contract for the European industrialization and production of the MIDS -- Low Volume Terminals (LVT). The industrialization and production phase is a continuation of the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase that developed, built and tested a small-size terminal to meet the functional and environmental requirements of the five MIDS participating Nations. The European industrialization and production phase is tailored to satisfy the requirements of the European Nations including France, Italy, Germany and Spain. The contemplated contract will include firm fixed prices for MIDS-LVT terminals, spares, warranties, supportability set-up/management, maintenance & repair, and technical data/computer software rights associated with a technical data package.
