The 45th Contracting Squadron intends to negotiate a contract modification on a sole source basis with Harris Corporation, Melbourne, FL, on behalf of the Systems and Technology Division of the Advanced Technology Applications Directorate from Headquarters, Air Force Technical Applications Center, for a study to examine the effects of the Harris _Red Rose_ antenna and the RF geolocation capabilities of Harris proprietary software. This sole source acquisition is justified under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Evaluation of the contractor_s unique capability and acquisition history concluded that the specialized effort required is available from only one source. The SIC code for this acquisition is 3663 and small business size standard is 750 employees. No solicitation document exists.
