The following are questions which have been submitted by industry and answered by technical personnel in response to Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) N00178-00-Q-3002 which was published in the Commerce Business Daily under Submission No. 381381 dated September 17, 1999. Q: Please describe the format of proposals submitted as a result of a favorable white paper. Please include section descriptions and page limits. A: See CBD Announcement for Data Fusion N00178-00-Q-3002 wherein it states: Offerors are required to submit three (3) copies of a one-sided, 12-point type, single-spaced, one-inch margined white paper not exceeding 5 pages plus a cover letter. The cover letter and white paper should reference BAA N00178-00-Q-3002. The white paper should be formatted as follows: Section A: Title, Period of Performance, Estimated Cost of Task, Name of Company; Section B: Task Objective; Section C: Technical Summary; Section D: Cost Summary. 2. Q: Is this BAA a follow-on to a previous BAA, project, or research effort? If so, who are the incumbent contractors. A: This is not a follow-on BAA. 3. Q: Should submitted white papers address every element of Data Fusion systems as called out in the solicitation, or is a sub-set sufficient: A: A sub-set of elements is sufficient. 4. Q: Is this a new effort or does it represent a continuation of ongoing work? If it is the latter, who is/are the incumbent contractor(s)? A: This is a new effort. 5.
