Item 001 -- Lease of 61 Iridium Satellite Phones, or equal, with two (2) Months Service. Satellite phones must be independent of land-based telecommunications. Lease Period from December 1, 1999 through January 31, 2000. Line Item 002 is for the Purchase of 61 SIM Cards. Item 002 -- Purchase of 61 Iridium SIM Cards, or equal to operate with the satellite phones specified in item 001 above. The SIM cards allow the units to operate and designate specific telephone numbers for the unit. Eight (8) of the SIM cards (chips) are required for delivery no later than two (2) days after date of award. The balance of the cards are due on or before receipt (December 1, 1999) of the satellite phones referenced in item 001 above. This requirement is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ)- DTRS56-00-Q-0001. Award shall be made utilizing simplified acquisition procedures. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
