being sought for Native American, Buy-Indian certified contractors to
provide health professional recruitment services for the 13 service
units in the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service. The Contractor shall
provide recruitment support services in responding to the need for
physicians, registered and advanced practical nurses, dentists,
pharmacists, optometrists, and other health professionals.
Qualifications necessary for this proposed contract includes an
in-depth knowledge of the health care industry with experience in
locating potential qualified candidates for IHS vacancies combining
both traditional and state-of-the-art recruitment strategies. The
Contractor must have access to computerized databases and and other
sourcing opportunities. The Contractor shall communicate to potential
candidates the mission, impact, and uniqueness of the Aberdeen Area
Indian Health Service organization. The Contractor shall be required to
pre-screen potential candidates and develop a backgroundprofile on each
bonafide candidate. The Contractor must become familiar with the
Aberdeen Area IHS credentialing and privileging policies and
procedures. All interested firms must submit a Corporate Capabilities
Statement not to exceed six(6) pages that describes in detail their
qualifications, capabilities, and previous experience relevant to
fulfilling the Aberdeen Area Indian Health Service Professional
Recruitment Services requirement. In particular, the Corporate
Capabilities Statement must include detailed information on the
interested firm's: a. Technical Expertise and Capability in Rural
Health Care Professional Recruitment, b. Record of Successful Past
Performance in Professional Recruitment for the Disciplines listed in
the first paragraph, *Recent changes in the Federal Acquisiton
Regulations (FAR) require that contractor performance be evaluated with
the view that past performance is indicative of future performance
expectations. c. Management Capabilities including Electronic
Recruitment Resources, d. Any Other Factors considered to be relevant
to the Firm's Professional Recruitment Capabilities. If you are a
certified Indian owned contractor capable of providing these services
to the Aberdeen Area IHS based on previous experience in professional
recruiting, you are requested to respond in writing with a copy of your
approved certification of Indian ownership and the requested capability
information to the address listed above or you may telefax your request
to 605-226-7669. Responses must be received within 10 calendar days
from the date of appearance of this sources sought announcement in the
CBD. This notice is not a solicitation nor is it a formal Request for
Proposal available at this time. The information provided will be used
