notice released on 6 October 1999. For offeror's information, the
solicitation is scheduled to be released electronically by close of
business Friday, November 5th. As stated previously, the solicitation
document will be made available on the Navy's Electronic Commerce
Online website at www.neco.navy.mil and on the procurement office's
website at www.sd.fisc.navy.mil. The purpose of this notice is to
provide offerors with advance notice of the site visit schedules and to
also outline reservation requirements. The site visit schedule covers
several days. Monday, November 15th the site visit will tour the Naval
Air Station, North Island, starting at 0830 hours and tour the Naval
Amphibious Base, Coronado, starting at 1330 hours. On Tuesday, November
16th, representatives with reservations must report by 0700 hours to
the Air Terminal on North Island Naval Air Station. Wednesday, November
16th, the site visit will: (i) tour the Naval Submarine Base starting
at 0830 hours;the Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center,
starting at 1000 hours; and the Naval Station, San Diego, starting at
1300 hours. There are reservation deadlines. Requests for reservations
may be submitted to the Contract Negotiator's e-mail address or
submitted by facsimile to (619) 532-2575. For the San Clemente Site
Visit, reservations must be received no later than 10:00 a.m., PST, on
Tuesday, November 9, 1999. Because Government air transport must be
arranged for the site visit to San Clemente Island, offerors are
limited to one representative per company. The reservation request must
include the company name, the representative's name, the
representative's social security number, date of birth, place (City and
State) of birth, and weight. There are no limitations for the number of
attendess to the San Diego galley sites. For the San Diego sites,
reservations must be received no later than 2:00 p.m., PST, on
Wednesday, November 10th. Reservation requests must include the
following information: CompanyName, Representative's Name, Citizenship
(if not U.S. citizen, representative must be prepared to provide NIS
documentation), and the license plate number of the vehicle. If
offerors are carpooling, the "driver" should be designated. At the Pass
and Decal Offices, representatives should be prepared to show driver's
license, vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and sufficient time
should be allowed for processing through these busy facilities. The
offices will also have maps to assist visitors in locating the galleys.
