MSAM-AC-RD-AX: Telemetry system, eight each, consisting of the
following Lockheed Martin Microcom components and accessories:
telemetry transmitter, model T605S-007, 5 watt, S band, 2"x 3.1" x 1",
75 Ohm input, + or -- 500 kHz per 1Vrms modulation sensitivity,
frequency selectable via internal DIP switches in .5 Mhz steps; and PCM
encoder, model PCM24A-48-8, 600 kbit/sec bit rate jumper selectable /2
/4 clock rate, + or -- 2.5V inputs, 10 b/w, + or -- 2.5V analog
inputs, 20 discrete bit inputs TTL level, 20 bit Barker code sync
pattern, RNRZ-L output per IRIG-106 93 chapter 8, 15 bit randomization
length, 1.25H X 1.5 x 1.55. This equipment will be utilized to test
various Air Force tactical missile systems with different frequencies
for each system on each aircraft. Lockheed Martin Microcom is the only
manufacturer whose telemetry system provides the required frequency
selectability within current design parameters for the tactical
missiles and mounting hardware. Use of any other system would require
redesign and requalification of the tactical missiles, resulting in
substantial costs and program delays. Therefore, purchase will be made
from Lockheed Martin Microcom Corp., 965 Thomas Drive, Warminster,
Pennsylvania 18974. See Note 22. Posted 11/04/99 (W-SN398140). (0308) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0222 19991108\58-0001.SOL)
