Conductivity, Temperature and Depth Systems (CTD) consisting of the
following: six (6) each Seabird 9Plus underwater unit for Seabird
911Plus CTD, includes modular temperature and conductivity sensors with
TC duct and extended range calibration, submersible pump, 10,000 PSIA
internal digiquartz pressure sensor, 6800 meter housing, redundant T&C
input channels, 8 different input, low pass-filtered A/D channels,
G.O. pylon mount clamp and aluminum rosette extension cage; six (6)
each Secondary (redundant) temperature and conductivity sensors with TC
duct and extended range calibration, pump; 6800 meter capability; six
(6) each 300 Baud modem, plug-in module; six (6) each Control module
for Seabird Model 1015; six (6) each G.O. 1015 rosette interface cable;
six (6) each Seabird 11Plus deck unit for Seabird 911Plus CTD, includes
IEEE-488 and RS-232 interfaces, NMEA 0183 GPS interface, option 11-1
300 baud modem, audible bottom contact alarm, built-in audio tape
interface, 115/230 VAC (switchable) input power, AC power cord, serial
data cable, and 19" rack mount kit and seasoft CTD software package
for Windows 95/NT; six (6) each Seabird 911Plus Technical manuals (2
spares per system); six (6) each Shipboard maintenance kit for Seabird
9Plus and Seabird 911; six (6) each Shipping containers for Seabird
9Plus CTD underwater unit hardigg, white; six (6) each Shipping
container for Seabird 11Plus CTD deck unit hardigg, white. These
specific CTDs are required to ensure the same levels of compatibility,
maintainability, configuration control, and interface reliability with
existing systems. A firm fixed price supply type contract will be
awarded. The Standard Industry Code is 3825, and the applicable size
standard is 500 employees. This Notice of Intent by the Government will
be issued on a sole source basis to Seabird Electronics, Inc., 1808
136th Place NE, Bellevue, WA 98005, since proper operation of the CTDs
is dependent upon interfacing with presently installed systems.
