This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are bein requested and a written solicitatino will NOT be issued. RFQ00C-2 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following equipment: Phase One PowerPhase FX Digital Scanner 1. Transverse Viewing System (allows direct sighting of scan area for scaling odd-sized items and is used in setup for programmed focus/scale positions); 2. Scanning Camera Holder; 3. Autofocus and Autosizing computer; 4. Three-lens turret (allow ease of use of three different lenses; changes of lenses automatically changes the autofocus and autosizing appropriately); 5. Keypad controller; 6.Copy Table and Support Arm; 7. High-intensity, daylight-adjusted Florescent Lights; 8. Telescopic Stands for the Lights; 9. Rodenstock Rodagon 135mm Objective Lens; 10. Satellite Footswitch; 11. Satellite Junction Box; 12. Phase One PowerPhase FX Digital Camera; 13. Scanning Camera Holder for off-copy stand work * 14. Tripod for off-copy stand work* and wall mount for large work* (*these components allow off-copy stand scans of very large format materials); 15. Packing and crating; 16. Installation and Training. Without the G3 PowerPC and fire wire (i.e. IEEE1394) connection necessary to "drive" it. All items shallbe delivered within thirty days After Receipt of Order (ARO).
