NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES: ABI/INFORM GLOBAL EDITION 1985+/US SUBSCRIPTION FOR A SINGLE USER (PRODUCT CODE: UMAI-US-85); MATHSCI DISC ANNUAL DATA ACCESS FEE (PRODUCT CODE: MATH-DA-XX); MATHSCI DISC SEMI-ANNUAL UPDATE (1940 TO PRESENT) FOR FOUR (4) SIMULTANEOUS USERS (PRODUCT CODE: MATH-SU-40). THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR THIS SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE WILL BE FOR A PERIOD NOT LESS THAN ONE YEAR WITH OPTIONS TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR FOUR (4) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from SILVERPLATTER INFORMATION INC., PO BOX 370035, 100 RIVER RIDGE DRIVE, NORWOOD, MA, 02062-5043. THE AUTHORITY FOR THIS PROCUREMENT IS 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION IS NOT PRACTICAL. THIS SERVICE IS PROVIDED BY THE PUBLISHER WHOSE MATERIAL IS COPYRIGHTED. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have FIFTEEN (15) days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the FIFTEEN (15)days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
