NASA/LaRC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for TECHNICAL INSIGHTS SUBSCRIPTION SERVICES:WEEKLY ELECTRONICS SUBSCRIPTION TO HIGH-TECH MATERIALS, ALERT UPDATES; WEEKLY ELECTRONIC SUBSCRIPTION TO SENSOR TECHNOLOGY, ALERT UPDATES; AND, WEEKLY ELECTRONIC SUBSCRIPTION TO ADVANCED COATINGS AND SURFACE TECHNOLOGY, ALERT UPDATES. THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR THIS SERVICE WILL BE FOR A PERIOD NOT LESS THAN ONE YEAR WITH OPTIONS TO EXTEND THE PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE FOR FOUR (4) ADDITIONAL ONE-YEAR PERIODS. THE DATES WILL BE DETERMINED BY FISCAL YEAR. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from TECHNICAL INSIGHTS, 32 NORTH DEAN STREET, ENGLEWOOD, NJ 07631-2807. THE AUTHORITY FOR THIS PROCUREMENT IS 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), COMPETITIVE NEGOTIATION IS NOT PRACTICAL. THIS SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE IS COPYRIGHTED AND ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH THE PUBLISHER. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested firms have FIFTEEN (15)days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after the FIFTEEN (15)days or without the required information will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to not compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
