Frank ( 703)875-6990 The U.S. Department of State (DoS), the Office of Acquisition, proposes an extension of existing Contract No. S-OPRAQ-94-D-0442 with American Communications Company, Chantilly, Virginia, for additional six (6) months through May 2000. The extension is to continue the cabling and conduit installation and repair services without disruption for the Government as interim contract services until a new contract is awarded. Currently, to replace this contract, evaluation of proposals submitted in response to Soliciation S-OPRAQ-98-R-0085, is nearing completion. Under the extended period, the contractor will continuously perform classified and unclassified cable and conduit installation services in support of the DoS' mission. These installation services are to include network infrastructure design and documentation, configuration management provision of installation materials, and inventory management. Installation of specialized networks systems, support services for voice, audio, and video networks, and support large-scale nationwide cable and conduit installation efforts simultaneously.
