R-RESIDENT RESEARCH ASSOCIATESHIP PROGRAM The Office of Naval Research (ONR) in coordination with the Naval Medical Research Center (NMRC) has a requirement for the overall scientific, technological and administrative support of a postdoctoral research associateship program. The required services include program advertising, review and recommendation of candidates by qualified scientific committees, award of research associateships following specific laboratory concurrence and funding, and administration of associates' stipends and other benefits including travel, relocation and insurance. Sole source negotiations will be held with the National Academy of Sciences because it is uniquely qualified to perform this effort based on its large cadre of expertise from which to evaluate and select the best candidates.
