Potential sources are being sought for cross docking services for equipment being shipped from CONUS to Europe by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA). The contractor would be required to off-load the boxes/cases received from a carrier, stage the boxes/cases, palletize the boxes/cases and on-load the boxes/cases to the Government containers for transhipment to Europe. The Government containers are containers that have been previously spotted for subsistence with some limited space available for shipment of equipment. After the boxes/cases have been containerized, the contractor shall inform the DeCA Point of contact of the container number, the departure date and the estimated time of arrival in Europe. The contractor shall be required to ensure the number of boxes/cases received match the number of boxes/cases shown on the packing slip/bill of lading. The contractor will ensure there is no visible damage to the boxes/cases received. Payment procedures will be through the use of a Government credit card. The contractor must agree to forward an invoice and pertinent documentation supporting the number of services performed during the month, so it is received no later than the 30th day of each month to the appropriate office for payment.
